Founding terms
Effective date: October 22, 2026
This page is for matchmakers considering HeartStack. It is a recruiting promise, not a price list. Current checkout amounts, if a subscription applies, stay on Pricing. These sentences do not replace the Terms of Service.
Your book is yours
Clients you bring are yours. HeartStack does not claim them, does not market to them, and does not sell them anything. Another matchmaker cannot take them on as her client through the product.
You can export your book and leave anytime, whole. The download is part of this promise. HeartStack does not hold your roster hostage.
HeartStack charges no fee and makes no claim on clients you brought. There is no per-lead fee on your own book and no success fee. A fee you charge a client, including any marriage or shidduch fee, stays with you. Singles are not charged to be here.
A subscription, when one is charged, buys the tool and pool access only. It is not a cut of your practice. The founding cohort is invited together and is not charged a subscription while those cohort terms stay in force. A later cohort may pay for the software. Checkout shows the price before anyone pays.
The pool is shared; the clients are not.
Ownership and cross-book matching are different.
Ownership is the relationship and the money. The client is hers. The platform does not take that relationship, does not bill her clients, and does not restrict what she charges them.
Cross-book is visibility for matching only. Another matchmaker may see a client’s profile, with the name of the matchmaker who brought them, only to consider a match with a client of her own. Nothing reaches that client except through her matchmaker. She stays in the loop: proposals come to her, and she approves or declines for her client. When a cross-match happens, books never transfer. Each person stays on exactly one matchmaker’s book. The pool trades introductions, not clients.
She may hold any one client fully private, for her own book tools only, so that person is not offered across the pool. That choice is hers, per client.
Some matchmaking platforms treat the people you brought as the platform’s inventory: you pay per lead, and you may be barred from charging those people. HeartStack does not. Every person belongs to one matchmaker’s book. The pool is where those books can see each other.
